Make music with code with Joanne Armitage: Full Series

Music Hackspace

Throughout May, June and July we have Joanne Armitage leading a series of three SuperCollider workshops. These workshops can loosely be thought of as beginner, intermediate and advanced workshops, and can be attended individually or as a complete series.

Individual workshops cost £30, or you can book a place on all three for £75.

Workshop 1: Synthesis Techniques (May 30th)

Workshop 2: Time, structures and pattern (June 19th)

Workshop 3: Interaction and Data (July 11th)

SuperCollider is a powerful, open-source, cross-platform, audio engine and programming language, used not only to create music, but also for machine learning, audio/music reactive installations, performance, interactive systems, research, live-coding and much more.

Requirements: You will need your own computer (OSX / Windows/ Linux), and a pair of headphones.

Joanne is a creative technologist and artist working with sound, physical computing, digital media and interaction design. Her current practice-based research explores how digital sound can connect with the body through haptic feedback. She is part of livecoding duo Algobabez with Shelly Knotts.

The venue is located on the ground floor of Somerset House and is fully wheelchair accessible with an accessible toilet. If you have any other access requirements, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate them.
