Modular synthesiser workshop with Befaco & Rebel Technology
October 20 @ 11:00 - October 21 @ 19:00
Music Hackspace presents two-days of workshops with Rebel Technology and Befaco.
Rebel Technology Workshop
Rebel Technology will be teaching participants how to use Max MSP’s Gen to program synths and effects which can then be run on a hardware synthesiser, and used expressively in a modular or desktop environment. The workshop is for anyone wanting to learn musical programming and modular synthesis to get beyond the limits of traditional music software, by designing their own personal, unique musical instruments.
The Rebel Technology workshop lasts one day and costs £50. It will run on both the 20th and 21st. The workshop fee is redeemable against a purchase from Rebel Technology’s full product range, giving you a £50 discount and the chance to take home one of their new (or old!) products.
If you plan to take part in the Rebel Technology workshop, please bring a computer with Max MSP + Google Chrome installed. No prior knowledge of Max is required. Rebel Technology will be providing hardware both from their recent Magus Kickstarter as well as their modular synthesizers. The patches we develop can run on any of the new desktop devices: Magus, Wizard and Alchemist, as well as the OWL Modular and OWL Pedal.
If you backed the Magus Kickstarter campaign and want to learn how to make your own patches, or if you’re keen to get hold of one now, or simply want to learn more about musical programming: this is the workshop for you!
